ITINERARY

***Day 1 – Friday (July 20, 2012)***

1:00pm- 5:00pm – Registration @ the Prosperidad Municipal
Tourism Office
5:00pm- 6:00pm – Free truck ride from Prosperidad town proper
to Brgy. Mabuhay Set-up tent. Prepare dinner
6:00pm-10:00pm –Welcome program, President Meeting
and lectures about history, caving, climbing
and biodiversity in the area plus basic survival
skills and SRT.
11:00pm – Lights out

***Day 2 – Saturday (July 21, 2012)***

5:00am – Offer prayer to the Lord. Wake up call. Prepare early
breakfast and pack lunch (bring camera and headlamp)
6:00am – Depart base camp
8:00am – Bega Falls (you can eat your prepared breakfast here)
note: garbage not welcomed in the activity area. 8:30am – Frolic in the highest falls of Bega Waterfalls chain
12:00nn– Lunch at your choice falls
note: garbage not welcome in the area
4:00pm – Ognop campsite-(tribal school site); set up tent, wash up
@ designated fresh and cold water.
(Limited cellphone signal)
5:00pm – Explore MACEA Cave
6:00pm – Push on to MACEA Cave
7:00pm – Back to Ognop
10:00pm- lights out

*Flex IT means flexible itinerary. Each team has the option to modify the route according to their preference. They must inform the Secretariat and the guides of each team of their preferred route.

***Day 3 – Sunday (July 22, 2012)***

5:00am – Offer prayer to the Lord, prepare for early breakfast;
bring pack lunch (self-provision)
6:00am – Assault to Puting Bato Peak;pass by the ancient cultural
burial ground (limited cellphone signal)
6:30am – Puting Bato peak overlooking Brgy. Mabuhay, Prosperidad
and Agusan del Sur.
8:15am – Tibog peak; traverse from Puting Bato Peak
8:45am – Start Descent
(be careful of unexplored pothole along the trail)
10:00am –Back to Ognop Tribal Filipino Community School
10:45am– Junction trail to Brgy. Mabuhay
12:00am– Water source @ Purok 5 early lunch
1:00pm – Back to Brgy. Mabuhay. Wash up, relax and
community immersion
3:00pm – Program for distribution of souvenir shirt and activity
certificates, socials….

What to bring:

Comfortable adventure gears;
Bring only what is necessary. Sleeping gears, trekking gears,
cooking gears, caving gears, medicine and safety kit;
Food and snacks, camera, extra money, extra clothes, head
umbrella, communication gadget

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1.Most of the trekking route is muddy during rainy season. So, please wear good traction shoes and extra footwear.

2.Open ground trail is hot during dry season. So, please bring head umbrella or any cover.

3.A carabao courier/porter for a fee is available.
4.LIMITED SIGNAL IN THE ACTIVITY AREA
