Carles | Islas de Gigantes : Sunrise by the old lighthouse in Gigantes Norte

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] was up and about 4:30 AM today. I grabbed my photo gears and went on straight outside looking for my butler. He was already waiting beside the habal habal that would bring us near the old lighthouse in Gigantes Norte. A 15 minute ride on a motorcycle will bring you to the end of a paved walkway, another 5 minute of walk uphill and you will be greeted by an spanish era lighthouse.

A kid met us at the entrance to the new lighthouse tower and open the locked entrance for us. He’s just a kid!

I should climb the steel ladders said my guide to be able to see the amazing sunrise and the astounding early morning view of the island. 360 degrees view!  I forgot I had fear for heights.

Plus the 360 view is totally fantastic . Here’s a view the the beach just below us!

It was an exhilarating  sunrise experience! After about 10-20 minutes I hurriedly went down to catch up a sunlit view of this old lighthouse. Again, some selfies. Thanked the kid who opened the locked tower entrance for us.  Then we headed back to Brgy. Asluman for our breakfast and to prepare for my next itinerary!
