Concepcion | Pan De Azucar, Mt. Manaphag and Tambalisa Beach beautiful trio

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]lenda did not stop me from hopping Agho and Chico islands. Despite stormy weather and the man high waves hitting the “pass” near Sombrero Island, I pushed through going Quiniliban Island. About an hour after, our boat landed safely at Tambalisa Beach, at the foot of Mt. Manaphag in Pan de Azucar. I’m still in one piece. 🙂

Apart from the white sand beach of Tambalisa, the outriggered bancas lining its shore and the towering Mt. Manaphag, an beach house caught my attention. Who owns that nice house?

The view along the beach is just breath taking. Take a look!

I asked our boatman to find a store where we can eat our lunch. It’s 3 PM and we still haven’t eaten our lunch.

Our search led us to an inner sari-sari after asking around.
METINDAHAN

Which is almost at the foot of Mt. Nanaphag!

Enjoying Mt. Nanaphag near the jump off site. Villagers here told me the mountain is sacred, very steep , with sharp edged rocks and monkeys as inhabitants.

After merienda we headed back to our boat passing by this bridge and the nearby concrete house.

This house looked very enchanting to a tired body. Unluckily, the owner was not around when we asked around.

My boatman called me out because of the looming heavy rain just across another island. We have to leave now since we have a long boat ride still enroute to concepcion town proper.

So this was basically just a straight out island hop. I didn’t have the luxury of time mingling with the locals doing their everyday routine. What I noticed though is that the locals don’t mind tourist visiting their village and taking pictures of them. They are very friendly but they seem to go on with their daily lives naturally even with tourist gazing at their every move!

I took a swim just near the beach then got this selfie.

Too bad weather’s not cooperating I have to leave early. Darn Glenda!
