[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ambugahay Falls in Siquijor, Negros Oriental is usually teaming with tourists especially during summer. It’s easily accessible and is one of the “standard” tourist spot in all of Siquijor’s tour packages. That’s why taking waterscape photos of Cambugahay Falls is a bit of a challenge but is equally satisfying if you “catch it” serene.
So upon arriving at Siquijor, Cambugahay Falls is first on my must visit list. I hired a single motorcycle and sped up to where it is located as soon as I set foot in the island. True enough, I “caught” Cambugahay Falls with but a few tourists early in the morning. By mid day, it’s almost impossible to get a very good vantage point. Moving around and near the river is also quite limited by many tourist coming up and going down up/downstream.
Had to wade knee deep near the banks, hop to a rocky ledge just so I can get a shot. Here’s one and the only photo I was able to save from my hard drive for this trip . 🙁
Never had the chance of dipping in Cambugahay Falls and river for a swim. Too crowded for my taste. I really wanted to explore some of the small falls up and down stream but I only have a day to explore Siquijor. Maybe next time.
