Experience Mindful Escapes at The Clara Beach Resort

The Clara Beach and Guest House got all what I hoped for a beach place-quite, picturesque place;creative, locally inspired and relaxing accommodations, good healthy food and of course, awesome sunrise!

Sometimes, stillness is the real destination.

Tucked away in the quieter corners of Guimaras, The Clara Beach and Guest House is one of those rare places that meets you exactly where you are — burned out, over-connected, and in need of something deeper than just rest. Here, quiet is the experience. And beauty? It unfolds slowly.

I discovered The Clara after a long shoot near Lorenzo’s Windmill. I wasn’t looking for luxury or adventure — just a peaceful place with natural charm, local flavor, and good light. It delivered all that and more.

🛖 A Design That Breathes

At the heart of the property stands a bamboo dining hall inspired by the shape of a stingray — its open architecture welcoming sea breeze, starlight, and silence. By day, it’s striking. By night, it becomes ethereal.

Every corner of The Clara feels handcrafted and thoughtful. The nipa hut-style accommodations, with their rustic textures and cozy design, invite you to slow down. These huts, often booked by foreign travelers, are a reminder that simplicity, when done well, is magnetic.

🌱 Food Grown with Intention

What truly impressed me was the food — fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly abundant for a coastal hideaway. The owner grows herbs and leafy greens in a hydroponic garden right on-site. I ended my evening with their sweet-and-sour isda sa bato and a slice of yogurt egg pie — both satisfying and soulful.

🌅 The Sunrise Worth Waking For

The real reason I stayed? The sunrise. Locals claim it’s one of the best on the island — and they weren’t wrong. Low tide reveals tide pools and textures that shift with the light, offering moments that demand no caption. Just presence.

🌊 A Mindful Escape

The Clara isn’t just a beach resort. It’s a sanctuary. A tiny ecosystem of thoughtfulness — gardens, herbs, bamboo, salt air, and space to just be. It may be hard to find, but that’s the point.

Sometimes, the best hideaways are the ones you stumble upon while searching for something else.

🧭 Trail and Frame Takeaway
If you’re a busy professional craving a quiet moment, this little patch of coastal calm offers more than just a break — it offers perspective. And perhaps, a small step inward.
