The Tacurong Mountaineering and Adventure Club (TAMAC) in cooperation with the City Government of Tacurong, the Association of Baranggay Captains (ABC) and Trekkers Outdoor Shop, in its pursuit of promoting ecotourism and providing a venue for alternative but value laden sports activity in the city, proudly presents THE THIRD TALAKUDONG URBAN ADVENTURE RACE this coming September 13, 2008 as part of the Talakudong Festival celebration.

The Urban Challenge!
The adventure race is set to run for approximately five (5) hrs. The competing teams will pass through the main thoroughfares in the urban areas of Tacurong City. Control points will be stationed in selected areas along the route. Each competing team will have to pass through the various control points and complete the task designated in those areas. The team that will complete the race in the shortest time will be declared race champions.

  • Who: Two man urban racing team
  • Disciplines: Trekking, Trail Running, Special mental and physical skills.

The prizes at stake?
The Talakudong Urban Adventure Race 2008 will surely give fun and excitement for the participants and the viewing community as well!But aside from the free race jersey, race kits, give aways and certificates the following is up for grab!

  • First Prize: Php 5,000.00 + Trophy + Certificates
  • Second Prize: Php 3,000.00 + Trophy + Certificates
  • Third Prize: Php 2,000.00 + Trophy + Certificates

Are you smart enough?
This urban race was designed to be reasonably challenging for the average race participant. Various control points will test the physical stamina, mental acumen, resourcefulness and team work of each competing teams.

Who may join?
If you’re an experienced racing team or a team looking for an experience, then TALAKUDONG URBAN ADVENTURE is right for you. This race is a competition among participating two (2) man team. Each team shall consist of two preselected, mentally and physically fit individuals that have fully registered, signed the waiver and paid their registrations to the organizing committee.

  1. Download the race invitation and the registration form here, fill it out fully, sign the waiver and send it back via email to tacurongmountaineers@yahoo.com. Registration forms are also available at Trekkers Outdoor Shop Jaycee Avenue Tacurong City 9800.
  2. Participants may also bring the filled registration forms, together with the registration fee of P800.00/team (inclusive of race jerseys, race kits, lunch, post race party) on or before September 11, 2008 atTrekkers Outdoor Shop Jaycee Avenue Tacurong City 9800.
